Our programs are designed to build confidence, skills, and enjoyment, whether a golfer is brand new or preparing for competitive play.

What does "DG" Mean?

“DG” stands for Discover Golf, a research-backed training system created by Richard Franklin that transforms traditional instruction into meaningful, game-driven learning. Used by facilities around the world—and often described as the “Montessori of Junior Golf”—Discover Golf blends skill development with imaginative play to keep students deeply engaged.

Through the DG approach, juniors learn every key shot in golf—putting, chipping, pitching, and driving—while building confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This method helps players stay motivated as they progress through our programs, ensuring they develop both the physical fundamentals and the mental readiness needed to advance in the sport without burnout.

Many of our students who began in our DG classes have gone on to become top performers on local high school teams and at their colleges, and several have earned college golf scholarships.

Whether your child is brand-new to the game or ready to take the next step, our DG-based curriculum provides a strong, enjoyable pathway forward. All essential equipment is provided for beginners, making it easy to get started.

DG Pee Wee

4-5 year olds

Offered Mondays or Tuesdays, 3:30- 3:55 PM

$140/month

A 2026 registration fee of $50 will provide your child with our "Welcome Kit" which includes an official PAR Junior Golf School t-shirt

This play-based group is all about introducing young children to the game of golf in a fun and imaginative way. Through simple games, music, and lots of movement, students build self-esteem and confidence while developing the basic motor skills needed to hold and swing a club.

Each week, your child will take part in one golf-themed game that helps teach important life and social skills such as teamwork, turn-taking, patience, handling wins and losses, and showing empathy. This class encourages active bodies and positive energy from start to finish.

A parent or grandparent must attend class with their child.

To ensure a safe and supportive environment, classes are limited to 8 students.

DG Wee

1st - 2nd grades

Offered Mondays or Tuesdays, 4:00-4:55 PM

$180/month

A 2026 registration fee of $50 will provide your child with our "Welcome Kit" which includes an official PAR Junior Golf School t-shirt

This is the ideal place for young golfers to start learning how to hit the ball in a structured, play-based environment. As we often tell our students, “To control the ball, you must first learn to control the club.” In this class, children begin developing coordination, learning how to hold and swing the club, and understanding how far the ball can travel when they make contact.

We focus on the foundational pitch shot, which teaches balance, control, and solid contact. Parents can expect plenty of music, engaging games, and opportunities for children to work together. Students will also experience both winning and losing in a healthy, supportive setting that builds character and resilience.

DG Play

3rd - 6th grades

Offered Mondays or Tuesdays, 5:00-5:55 PM

or Wednesdays, 4:00-4:55 PM

$180/month

A 2026 registration fee of $50 will provide your child with our "Welcome Kit" which includes an official PAR Junior Golf School t-shirt

Building on the skills learned in DG Wee, the DG Play class helps students continue improving their coordination and control of both the club and the ball. This program uses collaborative, high-energy, game-based activities that keep golfers engaged while developing real on-course skills.

Students will take part in individual, partner, and team challenges that encourage critical thinking and sportsmanship.

We continue to focus on the foundational pitch shot as well as putting, chipping, and driving while also introducing how the club face, club path, and height affect ball flight.

Our Grind classes are developed for students who still enjoy games but are more advanced or just beginning to take golf more seriously.

The first half of each class will center on proven drills and learning specific swing techniques while hitting many golf balls! Video Swing Analysis will often be used along with radar technology to measure swing speed, ball speed, and distance.

The second half of class focuses on applying new knowledge through an applicable game. Students will begin taking ownership of their individual swing, learning ball flight laws, the basics of course management and the mental side of the game.

If your child is in 7th grade or up and interested in just beginning their golf journey, please call or text us at

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes P.A.R. Junior Golf different?

We are committed to making golf accessible and enjoyable for all children. Our priority is helping kids fall in love with the game first—because once they’re having fun, the skills naturally follow. We also use the Discover Golf method, a game-based approach that turns instruction into interactive challenges, allowing students to build technique, creativity, and confidence in a playful, engaging environment.

What age/skill level can my child start?

Children can begin in our DG PeeWee program as early as age 4. From there, we offer age-appropriate classes all the way through high school, ensuring every golfer has a place to grow as they advance.

Do we need to have our own clubs?

We provide clubs for students who don’t have their own; however, we recommend bringing personal clubs if available, as we can’t always guarantee the correct sizes will be in stock. Please note that clubs are required for all students participating in our PAR Junior Golf Leagues and for DG Grind and Grind ELITE classes.

What should my child bring to class?

We recommend that students come prepared with:

Golf clubs (if they have their own)

A water bottle

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing

Comfortable shoes (closed-toe preferred)

All other training tools, games, and equipment are provided by PAR Junior Golf.

How much do your golf classes cost?

Class tuition varies by program to best meet the needs of each age group and skill level.

DG PeeWee (ages 4–5): $140/month

DG Wee (1st–2nd) & DG Play (3rd–6th): $180/month

DG Grind (7th+): $220/month

How do I know which class level is right for my child?

DG PeeWee: Ages 4–5

DG Wee: 1st–2nd grade

DG Play: 3rd–6th grade

DG Grind: 7th grade and older

Grind ELITE: Advanced high-school golfers preparing for competitive play

If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to guide you—just reach out, and we’ll help determine the best fit for your golfer’s age, maturity, and on-course experience.

What happens if we miss a class?

We understand that schedules get busy. If your child needs to miss a class, they’re welcome to attend another class of the same level within the same week, as long as space allows. Just let Coach Kennedy know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

Will class be cancelled due to rain?

We hold class as long as lightning is not a threat. Light rain is okay—we’re able to continue instruction under our covered awning when needed.

If a class ever needs to be cancelled for weather, we’ll immediately notify you by text and email using the primary contact information provided in your registration form.

Do you offer discounts for siblings?

Yes! Families with multiple children enrolled in our programs—whether in classes, league, or both—receive 20% off the total monthly tuition.

Just inform Coach Kennedy, and she will apply the discount to your monthly invoice.

Do you offer any financial aid to families?

Yes, we do! We offer 50% off tuition for families who require financial assistance. Email pargolfcoach@gmail.com to complete an application.
