What is the P.A.R. Junior Golf League?
Our monthly (4-week) league that runs in tandem with our monthly class schedule is a great introduction to the golf course for kids ages 6-12 who are just beginning. It is a fun, low-pressure team event where kids play in a Captain's Choice format and are paired with new teammates each week.
Our goal is to foster kids' love for golf, so we only recommend the league for kids already enrolled in our golf classes or currently playing golf with parents/grandparents.
If they have never touched a club, P.A.R. Junior Golf Classes are the correct place to start.
What Day and Time is the League?
The league is hosted at Golden Hills (100 Scotland Drive, Lexington)
on Thursday evenings.
We meet on the practice green at 5:15 pm, announce pairings at 5:25 pm, and then send off the groups at 5:30 pm.
We typically finish around 7:30-8:00 pm.
* Due to losing daylight, league may begin at 5:00 pm during March and October. We will ensure our league families are aware of the times *
What if my family knows nothing about golf?
That's perfectly fine. We have great parent volunteers designated to help their groups, who help to keep score and keep pace of play.
Are parents supposed to watch their child on the course?
We strongly encourage parents/grandparents to come to the golf course and watch/help their child. You can walk for no charge or rent a golf cart from the club house to ride around and help transport your child from hole to hole.
We kindly ask parents to be supportive spectators and avoid “over-coaching.” This helps prevent overwhelming our young golfers and keeps pace of play moving. Please leave all instruction to our Coaches and designated parent volunteers.
What's Included:
- 4 Tournament Rounds of Team Golf each month
(32 rounds for the entire year)
- Learn how to maneuver around the course through the guidance of our coaches and parent volunteers
- Weekly Coach's Challenge on one of the holes to try to win PAR Chips
- Have the opportunity to compete with friends to earn PAR Chips and points towards your overall ranking for the month and for the year.
In addition to the weekly adventures, students will also receive:
- Two buckets of range balls per week for self-practice sessions at LJ's Driving Range in Lexington (any day of the week, not mandatory)
- Official PAR Junior Golf League Polo
- An awards ceremony that will be held during the last week of League each month to recognize our top players in each division. Students will also have access to our Golf School Store, where they can spend their hard-earned PAR Chips for some golf gear.
Value:
A $180 recurring monthly payment, plus a one-time $50 registration fee for the 2026 year for students only participating in the P.A.R. Junior Golf Monthly League program.
Students who are ALSO enrolled in classes can enroll in the monthly league at a discounted amount of $110, in addition to their monthly class cost. The $50 registration fee for league will also be waived. When signing up for your child's classes, you will have the option to "add-on" Golf League to your Check-out Cart.

What makes P.A.R. Junior Golf different?
We are committed to making golf accessible and enjoyable for all children. Our priority is helping kids fall in love with the game first—because once they’re having fun, the skills naturally follow. We also use the Discover Golf method, a game-based approach that turns instruction into interactive challenges, allowing students to build technique, creativity, and confidence in a playful, engaging environment.
What age/skill level can my child start?
Children can begin in our DG PeeWee program as early as age 4. From there, we offer age-appropriate classes all the way through high school, ensuring every golfer has a place to grow as they advance.
Do we need to have our own clubs?
We provide clubs for students who don’t have their own; however, we recommend bringing personal clubs if available, as we can’t always guarantee the correct sizes will be in stock. Please note that clubs are required for all students participating in our PAR Junior Golf Leagues and for DG Grind and Grind ELITE classes.
What should my child bring to class?
We recommend that students come prepared with:
Golf clubs (if they have their own)
A water bottle
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
Comfortable shoes (closed-toe preferred)
All other training tools, games, and equipment are provided by PAR Junior Golf.
How much do your golf classes cost?
Class tuition varies by program to best meet the needs of each age group and skill level.
DG PeeWee (ages 4–5): $140/month
DG Wee (1st–2nd) & DG Play (3rd–6th): $180/month
DG Grind (7th+): $220/month
Grind ELITE (advanced high-school group): $240/month
How do I know which class level is right for my child?
Placement is primarily based on age and then supported by experience and readiness.
DG PeeWee: Ages 4–5
DG Wee: 1st–2nd grade
DG Play: 3rd–6th grade
DG Grind: 7th grade and older
Grind ELITE: Advanced high-school golfers preparing for competitive play
If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to guide you—just reach out, and we’ll help determine the best fit for your golfer’s age, maturity, and on-course experience.
What happens if we miss a class?
We understand that schedules get busy. If your child needs to miss a class, they’re welcome to attend another class of the same level within the same week, as long as space allows. Just let Coach Kennedy know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Will class be cancelled due to rain?
We hold class as long as lightning is not a threat. Light rain is okay—we’re able to continue instruction under our covered awning when needed.
If a class ever needs to be cancelled for weather, we’ll immediately notify you by text and email using the primary contact information provided in your registration form.
Do you offer discounts for siblings?
Yes! Families with multiple children enrolled in our programs—whether in classes, league, or both—receive 20% off the total monthly tuition.
Just inform Coach Kennedy, and she will apply the discount to your monthly invoice.
Do you offer any financial aid to families?
Yes, we do! We offer 50% off tuition for families who require financial assistance. Email pargolfcoach@gmail.com to complete an application.
